• Arsal imposes curfew on Syrian refugees                     

The Municipality of Arsal issued a decision imposing a curfew on all Syrian motorbikes and cars, adding that the municipality will be handing in to authorities all those who breach this decision.         

In this regard, Arsal’s Mayor Ali Hjeiri told Asharq al-Awsat newspaper that the decision was issued on the backdrop of the continuous influx of Syrian refugees.  

• Kuwaiti embassy did not ask its nationals to leave Lebanon - Sources               

A diplomatic source at the Kuwaiti Embassy in Lebanon told As-Seyassah newspaper on Saturday that the embassy did not issue a decision calling on its nationals to leave Lebanon.               

The same source added to the newspaper that the embassy is following on the latest developments in Lebanon in a bid to maintain the security of Kuwaiti nationals.           

• Lebanon’s independence is related to the formation of a cabinet - sources    

Prominent political sources said on Saturday that the proportional independence that Lebanon is witnessing should be related to the Baabda Declaration as well as the disassociation policy from the Syrian crisis.                 

Same sources also stated that Lebanon’s independence should be related to the formation of a cabinet seemingly since various risks are threatening the Lebanese nation.           

In this context, sources told the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Anbaa that officials should refrain from setting conditions to form a cabinet, and agree on the formation of a government that serves all Lebanese factions.
