• US envoy arrives to Beirut to tackle the latest developments

Diplomatic sources  told al-Joumhouria newspaper on Saturday that a US envoy arrived to Lebanon two days ago to tackle the latest developments with Lebanese officials.

The US envoy also informed the Lebanese leaders about the negotiations with Iran over its nuclear program that are taking place in Vienna.

• Lebanese government to carry out direct negotiations with the abductors-sources

Minister of Health Wael Abou Faour told An-Nahar newspaper on Saturday that the al-Nusra Front will postpone the execution of one of its captive soldiers.

He also noted that the Lebanese government is deploying its utmost efforts to ensure the release of the Lebanese troops.

Similarly, sources told al-Akhbar newspaper on Saturday that the Lebanese cabinet will carry out direct negotiations with the al-Nusra Front without the Qatari mediator.

The same sources added that Sheikh Mostapha al-Hujeiri will carry out the negotiations with the abductors.

• Speaker Berri says dialogue between Hezbollah and Future movement has a chance to success

Speaker Nabih Berri told As-Safir newspaper on Saturday that the latest stances issued by former Prime Minister Saad Hariri over the dialogue with Hezbollah are "positive."

Berri also hailed Hariri's efforts to contain the sedition in the country, adding that the dialogue between Hezbollah and the Future Movement has a chance to success.

He concluded by saying that he is willing to participate in the dialogue set to take place between both parties  if he was asked to.

• Sheikh Mostapha al-Hujeiri says he is deploying utmost efforts to release the abducted soldiers

Sheikh Mostapha al-Hujeiri told al-Hayat newspaper on Saturday that he is carrying out contacts with Minister of Health Wael Abou Faour over the case of the Arsal abducted Lebanese troops.

He also added that he is deploying his utmost efforts to ensure the release of the troops.
