UAE and Egypt sign agreement to develop onshore wind energy project
The UAE and Egypt signed on Tuesday an agreement to develop an onshore wind energy project with a capacity of 10 gigawatts in Egypt, on the sidelines of the 27th United Nations Climate Conference (COP27) that is taking place in Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt.

The Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported that the onshore wind power plant would save Egypt "about $5 billion in annual natural gas costs, which would also create up to 100,000 job opportunities."
