Three Lebanese female singers among 2022's most listened artists in the world

With the launch of the 2022 Wrapped campaign, Spotify announced the world's top artists, songs, albums, and podcasts of the year.

Celebrating the influence of Arab women, the music-streaming platform unveiled the most-streamed artists in the region.
In this year's list, the Lebanese pop star Nancy Ajram was at the forefront, as she was the most listened-to Arab artist in the world.

Ajram was followed by the Lebanese icon Fairuz and one of Lebanon's most famous singers Elissa who came in third.

The well-loved Egyptian singer Sherine finished fourth, followed by the Moroccan singer and songwriter Manal in the fifth spot.

Across the Arab world, Fairuz also topped the list of the most-streamed Arab female artists, with her timeless music inspiring fans for decades.
