Parents of young Beirut blast victim raise funds to help their community
The parents of Alexandra Naggear, one of the youngest Beirut blast victims, Paul and Tracy Naggear, have launched their yearly “Alexandra’s initiative” under the theme of Solidarity towards helping their civic society during this period of the year.

Last year, the initiative managed to distribute over 14,000 meals to families in need, offer over 2,500 gifts and toys to children with the help of 100+ volunteers who worked together, and raise funds to pursue initiatives throughout 2022.

This year, Tracy and Paul will start an entire project, using additional funds to finance sustainable projects, helping people to transition towards self-sufficiency, and prioritizing food safety, education, and employment.

“To give a few examples, we are exploring vertical farming in schools, solar installations in schools in exchange for free tuition, and food-related training for women to access employment in social kitchens and associations,” said Paul.

Naggear also expressed that they guaranteed, until now, funds to prepare 12,000 meals and provide 2,500 gifts for children and people in need.
Despite losing their daughter, Paul and Tracy are turning their grief into purpose by aiding their local community during the challenging times Lebanon is passing through.
