Jordanian foreign minister: Syrian army members take refuge in Jordan

Jordanian foreign minister Nasser Judeh said Tuesday that some members of the Syrian Armed Forces illegally took refuge in Jordan. However, the Jordanian government’s official spokesperson denied the presence of dissident units from the Syrian Army in Jordan.     

Judeh told the Jordanian TV that tens or hundreds of Syrians took refuge in Jordan, adding that perhaps dozens of them were low-ranking soldiers who were members of the Syrian Armed Forces at some point.
