Israeli Army ensures readiness of northern and southern regions

Israeli leadership announced on Thursday that the Israeli Army is proceeding with its preparations to ensure the readiness of the northern and southern regions in anticipation of a possible deterioration in the security situation.

Minister for Home Front Defense Matan Vilnai said that the current situation requires Israel to have a high level of preparedness, pointing out the threats of the enhanced military capabilities of Hezbollah.

In addition, Chief of Staff Benny Gantz announced on Thursday that the state of emergency along the Egyptian border would be raised to its highest level.
