Morsi supporters stage protest in Cairo's Tahrir Square

Supporters of Egypt's ousted Islamist President Mohamed Morsi protested in Cairo's Tahrir Square on Tuesday for the first time since the army forced him from office in July, a Reuters witness said.
   
Around 100 protesters gathered in the square, chanting: "Down with the military government!"

This comes as Egyptian army chief Abdel Fattah al-Sisi called for a quick political transition to restore stability to the country.   

Sisi, whose forces overthrew Mohamed Morsi of the Muslim Brotherhood in July, was speaking to soldiers and policemen at a seminar.
