Prosecutors seek nine-year jail term for Bolshoi dancer over acid attack

Russian state prosecutors demanded a nine-year jail sentence on Friday for a dancer accused of masterminding an acid attack that nearly blinded the Bolshoi Ballet's artistic director.

Pavel Dmitrichenko has pleaded not guilty to ordering the acid attack. State prosecutor Yulia Shumovskaya also asked for 10 years in jail for the man accused of carrying out the attack and six years for an accomplice.
