Maliki says Iraq to send delegation to Syria

Iraq’s PM Nuri Al Maliki announced on Thursday that Iraq will send a delegation to Syria in an attempt to convince Damascus to implement a Baghdad initiative to put an end to months of bloody conflict.

Maliki confirmed that the initiative aims at establishing a dialogue between the opposition and the Syrian government to reach a result that satisfies both sides.
