Brave boy risks his life to save drowning deer in Bangladesh river
A brave boy called Belal fearlessly risked his life to save a helpless baby deer from drowning, showing astonishing bravery.

The boy held the young fawn in one hand above the water as he plunged through the surging river.

Onlookers were unsure whether the boy, believed to be in his early teens, was going to appear again but as soon as he made it to the other side, they cheered as the deer was reunited with his family.

The event occurred in Noakhali, Bangladesh, when the young deer was separated from its family during heavy rainfall and fast-rising floods.

Wildlife photographer Hasibul Wahab took a picture of the brave act while visiting on a photography trip.

"The Noakhali locals lose a lot of deer during the rainy season and they have to do their utmost to protect them," he said.
