Syrian information minister: Geneva 2 outcome to be subject to popular referendum

The Syrian Information Minister Omran al-Zoubi stressed that the outcome of the Geneva II peace talks will be subject to popular referendum, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported on Sunday.

The minister added that the regime is insisting on pursuing the political operation and keeping the political course ongoing, noting that this will be a difficult and complicated task to fulfill.

Al-Zoubi stressed that the official delegation will return to Geneva to resume work in order to reach real results that satisfy all the parties.
