Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan warned that the France’s lower house of parliament approval of the bill criminalizing the denial of the Armenian genocide will twist the knife in the wound of the relations between Turkey and France.

Erdogan voiced disappointment over the adoption of this bill despite Turkey’s numerous warnings, adding that Turkey will suspend visits and freeze its military cooperation with Paris.

“Turkey will cancel permission for French military planes to land and warships to dock in Turkey as a result of the bill”, he said.

Erdogan stressed that Turkey will cancel all economic, political and military meetings with France.
