Government troops battle rebel forces in Syria’s Yabroud
 
Government troops along with members from Hezbollah are still battling rebel forces in Syria’s Yabroud.  

The Syrian state TV reported on Friday that government troops killed dozens of terrorists in the Rima farms, and the Yabroud Coordinating Committee stated that Syrian warplanes shelled the said region mainly the Salehiyeh neighborhood.     

Syria's conflict started as largely peaceful protests against Assad in March 2011 but later degenerated into a civil war in which more than 140,000 people have been killed, according to activists.  

Millions have been driven out of their homes, seeking shelter in neighboring countries and in safer parts of their homeland.
