Russian fleet anchored in Tartus harbor

SANA reported that the Russian fleet entered Syrian territorial waters and anchored in the military base of Tartus harbor on Saturday night.

SANA quoted the head of the military delegation visiting Tartus underscored the strong historic relations between Russia and Syria, adding that Russia sent its naval fleet to bridge the geographical distance and strengthen bilateral relations.

Syrian newspaper Al-Watan reported on Tuesday that a Russian fleet led by aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov will anchor in the military base of Tartus in Syria in the upcoming days.
