Shafik takes 51.5% in Egyptian presidential elections

Presidential candidate Ahmad Shafik announced on Tuesday his advancement by 51.5% of the vote, covering a rate of approximately half a million people. Shafik’s campaign added that the figures announced by Mohammad Mursi are misleading and inaccurate, reiterating Shafik’s upcoming victory.

The campaign added that official announcement of the election results will be announced next Thursday.
