UAE says air defenses responding to missiles, drones

Emirati air defenses were responding to missile and drone "threats" on Thursday, the United Arab Emirates' defense ministry said.

"UAE air defenses... are actively engaging with missiles and UAV threats," the ministry said in a post on X, providing no details about where the projectiles had originated.

Since the Middle East war erupted at the end of February, the UAE and other Gulf countries have been regularly targeted by Iranian missile and drone strikes in retaliation for the US-Israeli campaign, now in its second month.
