After Turkey sounds the alarm, fate of Syrian refugees at stake
Nearly three months after Turkey’s confirmation that its border will remain open for Syrian refugees, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu announced that his country is unable to shelter more than 100, 000 Syrian refugees. He thus called for the creation of a buffer zone inside the Syrian territory.    

According to concerned UN bodies, more than 170, 000 Syrian refugees are registered with each of Turkey, Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon.     

Efforts are ongoing to establish  four refugee camps, along with the 8 camps set along the border that are no longer capable of hosting refugees.
