"Innocence of Muslims" filmmaker appears in court

Officials reported that the filmmaker behind the “Innocence of Muslims” Youtube film, which sparked violent protests across the Muslim world and caused the death of the US ambassador in Libya, is due to appear in court again in Los Angeles on Wednesday in a separate case, under tight security measures.

The man who instigated it all, previously went by the name Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, was given an amended name: Mark Basseley Youssef.

To assure his safety, media and the public will only be able to watch the trial via video conference from a separate building.
