Death of the Armenian Orthodox patriarch of Jerusalem
The Armenian Orthodox patriarch of Jerusalem, Torkom Manoogian, one of the custodians of Christianity’s holiest sites, died on Friday at the age of 93 after being in a come since January 2012.                 

It is worth mentioning that the late Patriarch was born on the 16th of February 1919 in North Baghdad.                           

He became a priest in 1939 after receiving theological studies.          

In 1946, he moved to the United States where he became the Armenian Bishop of New York.              

The late Bishop was known in Jerusalem for his passion for culture and music.
