Homeless woman finds $10,000, returns money to owner
A homeless woman in Canada found a purse with more than $10,000 and surrendered it to the police.

According to Calgary Sun Daily, the woman has nowhere to stay and spends her nights at a shelter for homeless people.

The daily added that the woman found the purse leaning against the passenger door of a vehicle on Thursday.

"I didn’t know what it was at first and the car took off," she said. "I tried to race after them, seeing if I can get their attention, of course they didn’t see me."

The woman was unsure of what to do with the purse, so she took it with her and returned to her room at the shelter. Then she asked her case manager for advice so they called the police and it was long before they found the purse’s owner.

The homeless woman commented on the incident and stated:  "It never crossed my mind to keep the money. It’s not mine to keep. I didn’t think keeping it at all."
