EU parliament says Palestinian bid is “legitimate”
The European Parliament on Thursday threw its weight behind the Palestinians’ UN bid for statehood which it described as 'legitimate', calling for a halt of Israeli settlement building.

The Parliament also urged the European Union's member states to adopt a unified position on the Palestinian bid.
