Recent reports emerged reporting that the cold wave invading Russia caused the death of 56 persons.              

According to Russian RIA Novosti news agency, “Russia is enduring its harshest winter in over 70 years, with temperatures plunging as low as -50 degrees Celsius.”          

In the UK, a survey entitled ‘When the British built Adelaide they wanted to build a better Britain’, carried out by Huddersfield University showed that “the British weather was named as the number one reason to leave the UK (59%).”             

According to the study, middle-class families prefer living in warmer countries.
