Palestinian government calls on the Arab countries to meet their obligations

The Palestinian government renewed its calls on Arab countries to fulfill their financial obligations by transferring $ US 100 million each month to the Palestinian authority so it may meet the Israeli financial sanctions.

After a meeting chaired by the Palestinian PM Salam Fayyad, a statement was issued mentioning that the Palestinian Authority needs $ US 240 million each month to counteract Israeli sanctions.

The statement added that Israel's sanctions come in light of upgrading the Palestinian Authority's observer status at the United Nations to "non-member state".

It is worth noting that the Israeli Government declared on the 2nd of December that it will halt all fiscal duties to the Palestinian Authority for the mentioned month.
