Regime forces take control over strategic village in Reef Aleppo

In the latest clashes between the Syrian opposition and regime forces, the Kafar Souseh region in Damascus was targeted on Sunday with mortar shells in the framework of a tactic adopted by the opposition to paralyze the daily life in major cities of the countries to reduce the government’s control over them.

Armed opposition members are also targeting the Aleppo International Airport and the Neirab Military Air Base as a means to impose a no-fly zone seemingly since supporting western powers were not able to help them in this regard.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that regime forces took control over the strategic village of Aziza as well as the bridge of Asan in Reef Aleppo after clashes that lasted for days and added that they also targeted Sheikh Maksoud a majority-Kurdish neighborhood north Aleppo killing 15 persons among them 9 children.

On another note, a US official said that the US Secretary of State John Kerry arrived on Sunday in Turkey's Ankara to urge officials on speeding up the pace of normalizing the relations with Tel Aviv for the role that these relations play in containing the outbreak of the Syrian civil war.
