300 Palestinians rally in Al-Aqsa Mosque

Around 300 Palestinians rallied on Friday in the Al-Aqsa Mosque after the Friday prayers in protest of the frequent visits of Jews to the Mosque.

In this context, the Israeli police intensified its patrols in Quds city where demonstrations ended peacefully.

It is worth mentioning that a number of hard-line Jewish settlers enter Al-Aqsa Mosque on a daily basis to carry out their religious rites and frequently clash with Palestinians worshipers.

The rally came two days after the Israeli police arrested a top Palestinian Muslim religious leader in Jerusalem and questioned him for six hours about a fracas between Palestinians and Israelis at al-Aqsa mosque before releasing him without charge.
