Khaled: Iran thinks it is the “crown jewel” of the Arab Gulf
Bahraini Foreign Minister Khaled bin Ahmad Al-Khalifa accused Iran of perceiving the Islamic Republic as the “crown jewel”, because it is the gateway towards the Arab Gulf, according to Acharq al Awsat News Agency. Al-Khalifa called on the Arab countries to support Manama in its confrontation against Teheran.  

Sheikh Khaled accused the Islamic Republic of Iran of attempting to make all the Shiites in the world join in its vision of a religious state under the leadership of the Supreme Guide.
