REPORT: Gap widens between FPM and Hezbollah following group's involvement in Syria

Hezbollah has participated in the Syrian battles, preferring thus to extend the parliament's mandate instead of holding the parliamentary elections. As a result, the gap broadened between the Free Patriotic Movement (FPM) and Hezbollah.

In this regard, Change and Reform bloc MP Alain Aoun told LBCI that the incidents taking place in Syria may have dire repercussions on Lebanon, noting that the Syrian crisis has caused widespread sectarian tension among the Lebanese people.

This report will examine the stances of Aoun and will provide a closer look at the discrepancies between Hezbollah and the FPM.
