Mansour after meeting Aoun: Arab League decisions do not suit Lebanon

Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour said on Tuesday that Lebanon voiced reservations regarding the decisions issued following the Arab Foreign Ministers’ meeting on Syria.

Following his meeting with the Head of the Change and Reform bloc MP Michel Aoun in Rabieh, Mansour added that the decisions included a number of dangerous clauses.

“For example, one of the clauses stipulates that all diplomatic relations with Syria must be halted even during international conferences and forums”, Mansour added.  

Mansour stressed that the Arab League’s decisions do not suit Lebanon especially that for years the Lebanese Republic has demanded the establishment of diplomatic relations with Syria.

“Severing relations with Syria will be hard for Lebanon and we cannot go along with this clause”, Mansour said.
