Al-Jazeera airs video of 11 Lebanese men kidnapped in Syria

Al-Jazeera Channel aired a video on Tuesday featuring the 11 Lebanese men kidnapped in Syria.

The abductors confirmed that two Lebanese hostages will be released thanks to the efforts of the Union of Muslim Scholars.

The abductors reiterated their call on Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah to apologize to the Syrian people and rebels.

Sheikh Nabil Rahim told LBCI that he does not have any information related to the identities of the two hostages set to be released, confirming that the other abductees will soon be set free in batches .

For his part, Sheikh Salem al-Rafii said, in a statement to LBCI, that the Union of Muslim Scholars exerted assiduous efforts during the Islamic conference held in Istanbul, where they called for the release of the abductees.

Al-Rafii called on President Michel Sleiman to release the Islamists detained in Roumieh prison. He hoped that Hussein Ali Omar will be among the hostages to be released.
