Jumblatt wishes Iran, Russia consider “power of the weak”

PSP Leader MP Walid Jumblatt urged on Tuesday the Russian and Iranian leaderships to consider the “power of the weak” principle while approaching the current situation in Syria.

Jumblatt also highlighted the need to realize that “security solutions cannot address the current crisis which cannot be settled by anything short of a drastic regime change.”

Addressing Bani Maarouf in Syria, the PSP leader said “you know that the popular movement does not move backwards and that the collective memory is unmerciful. It is time to refrain from joining the police and military groups that are carrying out oppressive acts against the Syrian people. Many of them returned in coffins after fighting their compatriots in other Syrian regions.”
