REPORT: Tele Liban will not broadcast the 2014 World Cup
The Sports and Youth Ministry was informed on Wednesday that BeIn Sports Network did not give the state-sponsored television channel Tele Liban (TL) the approval to broadcast the 2014 World Cup.

Earlier, the Qatari Prime Minister Abdullah bin Nasser II said during a meeting with Interior Minister Nouhad Machnouq in Doha that he will help with the decision to broadcast the World Cup on Tele Liban.

Last month, Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani promised Lebanon that the state-sponsored television channel TL would be able to broadcast the World Cup.

Qatar’s state-owned BeIN, the new name for Al-Jazeera’s sports channel, has distribution rights to the 2014 World Cup.
