China urges Iran to cooperate with IAEA

China hoped on Wednesday that Iran will cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) regarding the Fordo site for nuclear enrichment as U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner is pressing Beijing on U.S. complaints about its currency controls as well as lobby for support to rein in Iranian nuclear ambitions.

China's Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Weimin said “"We hope Iran and the IAEA will stress cooperation and earnestly carry out the safeguards and clarify pending issues in the Iranian nuclear program, as soon as possible
