Erekat: Israelis only offered headlines in Amman meetings

Top Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat said Monday that during Amman’s meetings, the Israeli delegation only gave headlines and not official stances on the final solution to the disputed issues.

In response to the statements made by Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu, Erekat said that during the three meetings, that the Israelis only gave a 21 point paper discussing broad issues without suggesting a solution.

Erekat said that they only gave headlines, not official stances on the solution, especially on the issues of security and borders at a time when the Quartet called on both the Palestinians and the Israelis to give a stance on the solution before the 26th of this month.

Erekat said that Netanyahu wants to blame Palestinians, but his attempts will be in vain.
