Hout to LBCI: Mansour spoke during ministerial meeting on behalf of Syrian regime

Islamic Group MP Imad Hout slammed on Monday the position put forth by Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour during Sunday’s Arab ministerial meeting.

“Mansour was speaking on behalf of the Syrian regime, not Lebanon”, he said, stressing the importance of determining whether Mansour’s decision was made during the cabinet session or not.

Hout told Nharkom Said TV show that the Arab League is pushing for implementing the Yemeni solution in Syria, adding “should the Syrian regime uphold rejection of the initiative, Syria will be rather heading for the Libyan choice.”

Hout stressed that the country’s stability is a priority for the group, confirming its opposition to any sectarian or military strife.

In his concluding remarks, Hout called for resuming dialogue and discussing a national defense strategy that would allow the state to benefit from the resistance’s experience.
