Snowfall cut short by rising temperatures

The Civil Aviation Department forecast said that the expected weather in Lebanon for Sunday is partly cloudy with an increase in temperature.         

The snow was falling until dawn on Saturday on the highlands including Jawma, Akkar at an altitude of 500 meters.      

Snow levels were reported at 10 cm at an altitude of about 850 meters.         

The civil defense said that no incidents were reported despite the melting snow, indicating that the roads leading to Tasheh, Fneideq and Kaws Akkar are witnessing increasing traffic.
