Jumblatt: Martyrs' blood prepared for the return of some from exile in Paris

National Struggle Front leader MP Walid Jumblatt was surprised at how low the political and media speeches have gotten, wondering, “Is it acceptable that a political dispute leads to harming martyrs and chasing them to their graves with no morals and no respect for the dead? Didn’t the blood of these martyrs pave the way for the return of some people from their luxurious exile in Paris?”         

In his weekly statement to al-Anbaa newspaper, Jumblatt called on all political parties to be humble and to go back to the national dialogue which is “the only way to protect Lebanon at this critical time”.         

On another note, Jumblatt wondered: “Is it conceivable to tolerate the handing over of the information data required by the Ministry of Telecommunications at a time when important questions are being raised over plots to assassinate leaders and figures, to hit Lebanon’s stability amid a very sensible regional juncture? Is it acceptable to expose Lebanon to dangers it does not need due to it weak status quo?”
