The state-run National News Agency reported Wednesday that members of the Lebanese Armed Forces found a suspicious Kia vehicle in the vicinity of Ain al-Shaab army checkpoint, at the entrance of the northeastern town of Arsal.
The agency added that the army units cordoned off the area and blocked the road, banning vehicles from passing.
In turn, the Lebanese Armed Forces command said that the military expert worked on dismantling the vehicle, which was found to be booby-trapped.
