Syrian tanks storm Al Rastan, industry registers a 1.6 Liras losses

Three Syrian soldiers were killed on Monday while the Syrian army was attempting to storm into Al Rastan in Homs brush land and one civilian was shot by a sniper in Hama, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.  

The observatory added that when the army stormed into Al Rastan killed well over three soldiers and destroyed an armored vehicle, stressing that until now there is no documented information about human or material losses due to difficulty of communication.

The observatory said that in Homs, the Syrian army began shelling Baba Omro neighborhood from 5 a.m. Monday morning. The observatory also spoke of violent clashes between defectors and Syrian forces that stormed a city in Hama and arrested four women all mothers of defector soldiers.

According to the observatory, Basra Sham witnessed raids and arrests while an explosion rocked the southern neighborhood in the city of Daehl. The observatory did not confirm whether the explosion targeted Syrian troops deployed in the region.

Furthermore, Syrian newspapers criticized on Monday the decisions adopted by the Arab League on Sunday, adding that the decision is flawed and reflects recklessness and foolishness.  

Syrian Ministry of Industry said that the crisis endured by the country have caused 1.6 billion Syrian Liras in losses. The ministry added that most losses have been registered in Hama, Homs and Idlib, meaning the hotspots areas.
