Kanaan to LBCI: Government has not yet prepared balance sheet
The head of the Finance Committee MP Ibrahim Kanaan told Nharkom Said that the current government has not yet prepared the balance sheet project and hasn’t submitted it to the parliament or the Audit Bureau. He said that this project will not be submitted to the cabinet next Wednesday.

Kanaan said that a balance sheet has been nonexistent since 1993, which is “very dangerous”. He added that wastage does not only affect the $11 billion, but all spending.

Kanaan stressed that the Lebanese state has lacked a budget since 1993, adding that “if the finance committee did not open this subject, no one would have done it”.
