Raad to “the other party”: Take your knives out of our backs before inviting us to dialogue

Head of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Mohammad Raad accused the “other party” of doubting Hezbollah as well as its allies, the LAF and the Lebanese judiciary while, under the table, it tries to find a window for dialogue with the party.     

“They launch a charter from here and another one from there and then they say ‘we haven’t had a response yet’”, he added.   

During a commemorative ceremony in Nabbatiyeh, Raad said “what calls for dialogue are you sending to us? Pull your knives out of our backs before inviting us to dialogue; prove the credibility of your statements and acquit yourself of security destabilization and sectarian incitement in this region.”        

Raad confirmed that amid this crisis, a solution is still possible, adding that “we are those who open doors for a solution, but the other party in this country who represents our partners, and whom we still consider as partners, are requested to reconsider their actions and reevaluate their policy which is an extension of the policy of hypocrisy that is adopted in our region. If they do not get themselves out of this hypocritical axis they will not be able to take part in building a stable and sound country.”      

Commenting on Syrian developments, Raad asked “is the only way for reform in Syria through car bombs that target civilians in the streets? Those explicitly announcing that they support armed groups and calling for supporting armed men in Syria, are they really seeking reforms in Syria?”
