Consumer Protection Association warns of legal action to ensure consumers’ rights
The head of Lebanon’s Consumer Protection Association, Zuhair Berro, announced on Friday that new judiciary procedures will take place to protect the consumers against the practices of certain traders who are selling a huge quantity of rotten food products such as meat, fish, chicken, cheese and medications.

During a press conference at the Lebanese Press Syndicate, Berro revealed a copy of a complaint filed by the association against two detainees from al-Natour family over the rotten food product case.

In his concluding remarks, Berro said that, from now on, the association will take legal actions in the event of a violation of the consumer protection law by any private or public party.
