March 14 Forces held Sunday Hezbollah responsible for igniting tensions with Saudi Arabia and putting Lebanon’s financial stability at risk.
“We demand Hezbollah to withdraw from Syria,” March 14 leaders stated during an emergency meeting they held at Beit al-Wasat.
Following the meeting, head of the Future Parliamentary Bloc Fouad Siniora said in a statement that the government must respect the constitution by taking a firm stance that stresses Lebanon’s commitment to the Arab solidarity.
During a talk with journalists, Head of Future bloc Saad Hairi pointed out that the Saudi aid was on its way but a some politicians’ "intelligence led Lebanon here today."
“Why would Lebanon take a stance such as that of Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil ?" Hariri asked.
Lebanese Forces refused to mention the Free Patriotic Movement or Bassil in its statement, replacing it with the phrase “Hezbollah and its allies.”
On another note, March 14 meeting was attended by the secretariat members, head of Ktaeb Party Samy Gmeayel and the vice-president of the executive committee to the Lebanese Forces party Georges Adwan, who was representing LF leader Samir Geagea.
