Lebanon’s Labor Ministry stressed Thursday that it will carry out its duty in protecting the Lebanese labor force and preserve its rights, noting that it will exert every possible effort in order to protect these rights.
The statement comes a day after reports emerged on media outlets and social media platforms, whereby they stated that Emirati-owned “Sharjah 24” news website has notified 14 Lebanese employees not to come to the office without prior warning, while the website’s administration did not inform the ministry of this decision, nor has it determined the fate of the employees.
In this regard, the ministry stated that the country’s international relations must not affect the Lebanese employees, stressing the need to maintain social stability.
