Hollande to Berri: We are working on ending presidential vacuum

Speaker Nabih Berri received on Tuesday a letter from French President Francois Hollande in which he stressed that Paris is working on ending the presidential vacuum in Lebanon.

In his letter, Hollande stressed France’s support to Lebanon on the political, economic, financial and military levels to address the refugee crisis.
On another note, Berri also received a phone call from the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas during which they tackled the latest developments.

He also received a phone call from Kuwait's National Assembly Speaker Marzooq Al-Ghanem.

This as Berri met also with Syrian Ambassador to Lebanon Ali Abdel Karim al-Ali whereby talks reportedly featured high over the developments in the region, and the challenges that must be addressed.
