Prime Minister Tammam Salam stressed Thursday that Lebanon aspires to make the industrial sector one of the main pillars of the economy.
“I look forward to a national day for the industry in Lebanon that comes when we succeed in electing a new president,” he added.
For his part, Industry Minister Hussein Hajj Hassan said during a ceremony held on Lebanese Industry Day held mat the Grand Serail that Lebanon is witnessing a critical situation on the economic and social levels, expressing that all the indicators are not reassuring, especially after hosting more than one million refugees.
In this context, Minister Hassan urged the countries to help Lebanon through adopting a fair trade.
“We do not seek to close our borders before any of our trading partners,” he stated.
