Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil said Friday that Janna dam meets the requirements, stressing that water dams do not pollute the environment.
“The Environment Minister Mohammad Machnouk is not entitled to talk about the environmental impacts of the project after launching it,” he said.
Bassil called upon Machnouk to implement the environmental impacts' talk on both Costa Brava and Bourj Hammoud landfills.
“Have you ever seen a single country in the world that pays 100 million dollars for a project then suddenly decides to end it?” he questioned.
“A Senior official revealed the interference of a former Prime Minister with him to obstruct the project, what is the aim of all this and where is the interest?” he added.
