Security forces arrest a man impersonating a journalist

Security forces arrested on Tuesday a Lebanese man who impersonated a journalist to carry out interviews in exchange for money.

"Several operations of deception by an unidentified man (41 years old) impersonating a BBC and RFI (Radio France Internationale) journalists have taken place recently in the Beirut and Mount Lebanon regions," Internal Security Forces said in a statement.

After investigations, the security forces said they arrested suspect A.Aa. over the incidents, adding that he used to ask $200 - $1,000 per interview.

He was arrested by the Jdeide police in the Metn district and reportedly confessed to the charges.
