Health Minister Wael Abou Faour decided to form official generic medical committees across the Lebanese regions to facilitate the citizens’ access to health certificates within their districts without being forced to head to the main centers.
In addition to the centers spread across the governorates, the new 13 centers will be established in the districts of Northern Metn, Jbeil, Bent Jbeil, Tyre, Baalbek – Hermel, Rashaya, West Bekaa, Shouf, Kesserwan, Batroun, Donnieh and Akkar.
The minister added that the committees in charge will be entrusted with treating the citizens and employees referred by the governorate’s center.
Abou Faour pointed out that this decision represents a new reformist step towards administrative decentralization and prepares for a new stage of relationship between the citizen and the state’s institutions.
