Bacon cheeseburgers
Booze
No alcohol before bed! Even one drink can reduce the quality of sleep you may get, not just the amount.
Oats
Oats contain melatonin, which should helps you sleep, but it still contains lots of soluble fiber reversing that effect.
Coffee
Definitely a bad idea! If you’re hoping to calm down, stay away from all the caffeine!
Dark chocolate
Just like coffee this will take you away from sleep as it contains a decent amount of caffeine, and a dash of theobromine which can increase your heart rate and lessen your chances of a good night's sleep.
Ice cream
Ice-cream could be one of the worst ideas! Its high in sugar and carbohydrates therefore will send your brain into overdrive.
Big protein
Dr Rosenberg says “digestion slows when you're asleep, and the body digests protein slowly anyway, which means it's focusing on that rather than getting a food night's rest.” Substitute them with Turkey or yoghurt.
